You'll find nearly 20 campsites in the part of Dordogne named Périgord Vert or "green Perigord". Indeed, the northern part of the department is full of green fields and pastures, woods and forests that are part of Nature Regional Park of Périgord-Limousin. Many rivers, lakes and ponds provide many activities opportunities for the whole family, besides the many heritage sites.

Welcome to Camping Maisonneuve, St Jory de Chalais. We are a small, family-run campsite, set in 26 acres, within the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin, in Périgord Vert, Dordogne. We have 40 touring pitches, as well as mobile homes and wooden pod available for rental. All pitches are generously sized, averaging 100 sq m, some sunny, some shady and all bordered by mature trees and hedging, with access to an electric hook-up. Many pitches also have private water connection points, and we have hard-standing pitches available for those who prefer.
On site you’ll find fully-licensed bar and pizzeria, Au Château d’Eau, with a wide range of drinks and home-cooked pizzas available, served either inside or out on the terrace. Our visitors can enjoy a sun-lounger by the swimming pool and benefit from free Wi-Fi and a big-screen in the bar for those important sporting occasions.
There is plenty to explore in the region, whether it be beautiful ancient villages, historic châteaux, breathtaking deep gorges, prehistoric caves, or taking a canoe down the Dordogne, the Vézère or the Dronne. However, if you would like to stay on-site, you can take a ramble around the campsite – we have a private fishing lake and woodland walks along the River Touroulet right on our doorstep.
Small campsite in the still quiet north of the Dordogne A green small campsite on the banks of a river with a sandy beach. Small-scale activities such as panning for gold in the river, archery, rock climbing and a trip to a goat farm. From the campsite are walking trails through the beautiful surroundings. The village Jumilhac-le-Grand is within walking distance and offers all amenities, there is a swimmingpool and a beautiful, seeing, castle. On the campsite we rent tents and mobile homes.

Château le Verdoyer 4*, in Champs-Romain at the heart of the area, is worth a mention.
