The shoreline is dotted with a succession of coves which can be reached along the coastal footpath. Malgrat de Mar is a beach town with more than 5km of paradisiacal beaches, its location makes them perfect for the practice of sports such as sailing, windsurfing and kite-surf. Malgrat is located 40 km away from Gerona and 60km away from Barcelona, therefore this location is highly suitable for you if you feel like visiting the cities without even having to do a long trip. The camping (campground) is located on the outskirts of Malgrat de Mar, at 1,5km away from the somewhat busy market, shopping and touristic areas, nearby the Tordera river. The Tordera River has an extent of natural diversity of animals and nature. It is placed only 50m away from large beaches with course sand, which allows you to spend some relaxing days with the family, your partner or friends. Open March 26th to October 30th. For splendour of position, Cala Llevadó can compare with almost any in this guide. A beautifully situated cliff-side site, enjoying fine views of the sea and coast below, it is shaped something like half a bowl with steep slopes. High up on the site, with a superb aspect, is the attractive restaurant/bar with a large terrace overlooking the pleasant swimming pool directly below. There are terraced, flat areas for caravans and tents (with 10/16A electricity) on the upper levels of the two slopes, with a great many individual pitches for tents scattered around the site. Some of these pitches have fantastic settings and views. The site is unsuitable for campers with disabilities. In some areas cars may be required to park separately. Facilities: Four very well equipped toilet blocks are immaculately maintained and well spaced around the site. Baby baths. Laundry facilities. Motorcaravan services. Gas supplies. Fridge hire. Large supermarket. Restaurant/bar (5/5-28/9). Swimming and paddling pools. Three play areas. Botanic garden. New amphitheatre (2011) with entertainment for children and adults.
