Not far from Sorrento you will find the village of Positano, built along the steephills and only accessible on foot. Park your car at the entrance at the top of the hill and walk down the narrow streets and stairs leading to the village centre. Admire the white houses and small craftsmen workshops designing shoes and clothes. Pause for a moment and take in the breathtaking views  opening up from behind frontwalls and stairs.

At night, enjoy a romantic dinner on the seafront with a delicious ice-cream for dessert on the piazzetta before going back to your campsite on the Amalfi coast.

After spending time discovering bustling Sorrento and romantic Positano, carry on further south to Salerno. Make a stop in the lovely villages of Praiano and Furore. Admire Duomo d’Amalfi on the horizon. The coast has been named after this wonderful city listed in UNESCO World Heritages sites. There, you can experience the typical atmosphere of seaside South Italian villages. Crystal clear waters and colouful roofs over white houses will please those fond of postcard settings!

Ravello is another must-see places to visit during your camping holiday on the Amalfi coast. Overlooking the bay, it is a very popular destination among local inhabitants and holiday makers seeking cool air during hot summer days. Every summer, the city hosts a famous international classical music festival where musicians and artists play on a stage which seems to be suspended over the sea!

Before driving back, make a last stop at the beautiful village of Vietri sul Mare, famous for its hand-decorated ceramics.
